Gabbro Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
Gabbro is a game by SopoNext. This page explains what data it uses, why, and what you can ask for. The controller is SopoNext, reachable at info@soponext.com.
In short
Gabbro is free. It shows no advertising, contains no analytics tools or third-party SDKs, does not track you and does not ask you to create an account or sign in.
Online leaderboard (optional)
To join the online leaderboard you choose a nickname of up to 8 characters: we do not ask for your real name or email address. When you register the nickname, our server generates a secret code, which the app keeps on your phone and which prevents anyone else from using your nickname.
On our server we store the nickname, the secret code, your scores and their date. This data is used only to show the leaderboard: we do not use it for advertising or tracking and we do not share it with anyone. To delete it, tap INFO > DELETE MY NAME in the game: the server immediately deletes the nickname, your scores and any notification token, and the secret code stops working. You can also email info@soponext.com with your nickname. The legal basis for processing is Art 6 1 b GDPR.
Configuration at launch
At launch the app downloads a configuration file from soponext.com: notices, the minimum required version and the list of our other apps. The request contains no personal data, at most the tag (ETag) of the copy already downloaded, so it is not downloaded again. Like any website, our server sees the IP address this request, and those for the leaderboard and notifications, come from and records it in its logs, which are used only to keep the server secure and fix problems, and are deleted automatically after about two months.
Our other apps
Only if you open the "Our other apps" tab are the app icons downloaded from Apple's servers (mzstatic.com). Apple handles that request under its own privacy policy.
Suggestions and bug reports
The "Give us a suggestion" and "Report a problem" buttons open your mail app with an email already addressed to us. At the bottom it lists the game version, the operating system and its version, the phone model and the language: you can see them and change or remove them before sending. The email is sent only if you tap Send, and we use it only to reply and improve the game.
What stays on your phone
On your phone the app keeps only the nickname and secret code, your sound preference, and whether you have already seen the intro video and the guide. None of this leaves the device, except as described above for the leaderboard and below for notifications.
Leaderboard notifications (optional)
If you allow notifications, we store your device's notification token (Apple Push Notification service or Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging) on our server, together with your nickname, language and platform (iOS or Android), only to tell you when someone overtakes you on the leaderboard. We send it to Apple or Google only to deliver the notification, and we delete it when you turn notifications off, when you delete your name or when the token is no longer valid.
Children
Gabbro is suitable for everyone. We do not knowingly collect data from children, other than the nickname a player chooses for the leaderboard.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data by emailing info@soponext.com. We reply within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Changes
If anything changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
