SecretSeer Privacy Policy

SecretSeer is a game by SopoNext. This page explains what data it uses, why, and what you can ask for. The controller is SopoNext, reachable at info@soponext.com.
In short
SecretSeer is a magic trick game: it tries to guess the card or option you picked by watching your reactions. Everything happens on your phone or tablet. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics tools and no third-party SDKs, and we send nothing about you or your games to anyone.
Camera, face, voice and motion
During a game, and only if you allow it, the app uses:
- the front camera to read your facial expressions: on iPhone and iPad through Apple's ARKit (the TrueDepth camera, where there is one), on Android through Google's MediaPipe, running on the device;
- the microphone and speech recognition to hear how you say "no". Recognition runs only on the device: the audio is never sent to Apple, Google or us;
- the motion sensors, for small hand movements;
- in Pulse Mode (Settings, Experimental), the rear camera with your fingertip on it, to measure your heart rate.
These signals are processed in memory during the game. Images, video and audio are never recorded, stored or sent off the device. Face data is used only to play the game: we do not use it for advertising, we do not use it to identify anyone and we do not share it with anyone.
For each game the app keeps on the device only computed numbers (for example how much a reaction changed on each option, and the final result), so it can adapt to how you react. It keeps at most 300 of them, excluded from backups. If you do not grant a permission, the game uses the other sensors or taps.
Custom game photos
If you create a custom game you can pick photos from your library or take them. They stay only inside the app, excluded from backups, and the app does not send them to anyone.
World leaderboard (optional)
Only if you open the world leaderboard, the number of games you have played is sent to Apple Game Center on iPhone and iPad, or to Google Play Games on Android, under your name on that service, and from then on it is updated at the end of each game. Apple and Google handle this data under their own privacy policies. The button to share your record shares only a text, and only where you choose.
Configuration at launch
At launch the app downloads a configuration file from soponext.com: notices, the minimum required version and the list of our other apps, with their icons. The request contains no personal data. Like any website, our server sees the IP address the request comes from and records it in its logs, which are used only to keep the server secure and fix problems, and are deleted automatically after about two months.
Suggestions and bug reports
The buttons to send us a suggestion or report a problem open your mail app with an email already addressed to us. At the bottom it lists the app version, the device model and the system version: you can see them and remove them before sending. The email is sent only if you tap Send, and we use it only to reply and improve the game.
Deleting your data
In Settings, "Delete all my data" removes the custom games, their photos and the game history from the device. Deleting the app removes all of it too. We hold no copies, because none of it reaches us.
Children
SecretSeer is suitable for everyone. We do not collect personal data from anyone, children included.

For any question about your data, email info@soponext.com. We reply within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
